In 2020, Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service as part of a centralized, cloud-first CRM rollout to address Customer Support globally. The deployment positioned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service alongside Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Field Service on Microsoft Azure, with Avanade engaged to extend field service mobility and offline capabilities for technicians in extreme environments.
The implementation consolidated functional modules including case and incident management, sales account management, and a bespoke field service mobile application. Many custom functions previously developed in the company CRM were reconfigured into standard Dynamics 365 capabilities, while the field service solution was engineered to operate offline and synchronize reliably when connectivity is restored.
Architecturally the solution is a single cloud CRM platform on Azure serving global regions, with plans and early integrations to ingest social media inquiries directly into CRM and to integrate device telemetry for predictive and preventive maintenance. Dynamics 365 will feed service order planning with device data, and the platform is used by users in locations from New Zealand to South America to provide homogeneous customer data and shorter response times.
Rollout and governance were executed in staged waves, with five migration waves and a two year continuous data migration and quality improvement program to assign customer records and harmonize processes. Avanade collaborated on developing the offline-capable field service app, and the program maintained parallel operation and continuous development during the phased rollouts to ensure operational continuity.
The project established Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service as the company wide IT foundation for Customer Support, delivering faster response handling and more consistent data across regions, while Microsoft Success Management continues to support long term evolution of the platform.

In 2019 Ducks Unlimited Canada deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations from Microsoft, partnering with Avanade through the Tech for Social Good program to update its financial system. The deployment was scoped as an ERP Financial initiative focused on centralizing core accounting and financial reporting capabilities for the finance organization.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations implementation concentrated on standard financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting, with configuration aligned to grant and donation accounting needs common to nonprofit finance. Workflow automation and controls for transaction processing and month end consolidation were included to streamline reporting and reduce manual reconciliation effort.
Avanade provided implementation services and knowledge transfer during the rollout, working directly with Ducks Unlimited Canada finance and grants teams across Canada. Operational coverage emphasized the finance function and grant management workflows so that data used to adjudicate and report on grants and donations could be analyzed more efficiently.
Governance included partner-led configuration guidance and team enablement to operate Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations on an ongoing basis. As a result Ducks Unlimited Canada is able to analyze and report on data more efficiently to maximize outcomes from the grants and donations it receives, while finance staff can focus more on stewardship and mission-related work.
