Arkansas Department of Transportation | Government | 3667 | $360M | United States | Oracle | Oracle Cloud ERP | ERP Financial | 2018 |
In 2018, Arkansas Department of Transportation implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to centralize finance and accounting under the ERP Financial category. CherryRoad Technologies served as the implementation partner and Venkat Paruchuri acted as Lead Financial Functional Consultant, providing hands-on design and delivery for DOT finance processes.
The engagement redesign included the chart of accounts and hierarchical structures to support CAFR and GASB reporting, and configuration of Primary and Secondary Ledgers, a Ledger Set, Fixed Assets Books for corporate and tax reporting, budgets, lease accounting, general ledger and encumbrance accounting. Oracle Cloud ERP modules for subledger accounting, accounts payable, projects, accounts receivable and expense reporting were configured and mapped to align statutory fund accounting and internal reporting flows.
A systems architecture plan for Accounts Receivable defined required inbound and outbound interfaces and recommended which existing systems should be continued or sunset, while specifying integrations with banks, Oracle Cash Management and third-party systems. The implementation integrated GL, FA and Budgets with PO, AP, AR, Projects, Collections and Expense Reporting, and executed conversions of opening and historical GL balances, fixed assets and budgets across Test, Dev, SIT and PROD instances.
Project governance relied on structured workshops with the Finance Director and business leads for requirements, solution designs, mappings, prototypes, conference room pilots, scripted testing, documentation and knowledge transfer. The team produced detailed training documents and test scripts, developed time and effort estimates and schedules, and configured accounting and process flows specifically to meet GASB requirements.

City and County of Broomfield | Government | 2080 | $264M | United States | Oracle | Oracle Cloud ERP | ERP Financial | 2016 |
In 2016, City and County of Broomfield implemented Oracle Cloud ERP in a production SaaS model, deploying Oracle Cloud ERP as its core financial and administrative backbone under the ERP Financial category. CherryRoad Technologies served as the implementation partner for the rollout, and the deployment was positioned to support municipal Human Resources and Finance business functions across City and County operations.
The implementation encompassed ongoing provisioning, configuration, operation and maintenance of Oracle Cloud HCM and Oracle Cloud ERP capabilities, with specific functional focus on HR and finance workflows, security profile administration, segregation of duties controls, reporting and KPI support, and management of Service Requests with Oracle Cloud operations. The incumbent performs development, configuration, implementation and maintenance of third party integrations, and contributes to architecting, implementing, enhancing and testing ERP systems to meet dynamic business requirements.
Operational coverage includes collaboration with the HRIS team and Information Technology Security professionals to ensure compliance with applicable HR laws and data security policies, regular review and audit of end user accounts and permissions, and integration work with other departmental systems. The role functions as the primary point of contact for all Oracle ERP Cloud issues, and manages cross departmental projects that integrate programs and services across departments, divisions and external agencies.
Governance and process discipline were established through creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, design documents and migration forms, participation in departmental budgeting and resource planning, and continuous coordination with internal stakeholders to capture new processes and initiatives in system configuration. The deployment emphasized operational administration, documentation, and stakeholder liaison rather than a one time cutover, embedding ongoing support and system ownership within City and County of Broomfield IT and HR teams.

City and County of Broomfield | Government | 2080 | $264M | United States | Oracle | Oracle Cloud HCM | Core HR | 2016 |
In 2016, City and County of Broomfield implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as their Core HR application, engaging CherryRoad Technologies to deliver the integration layer. The engagement framed Oracle Cloud HCM as the centralized Core HR system for county employee records and positioned the integration as a nightly synchronization mechanism between hiring/onboarding workflows and the central HR repository.
The integration architecture was built using Java 8 and Eclipse with Spring REST WebServices, with development covering requirements analysis, design and end-to-end implementation. Developers implemented REST clients to consume Neogov WebServices and to invoke Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud WebServices, and wrote middleware logic to transform and validate employee data before submission.
Operationally the solution used a scheduled evening batch process, a scheduler component that runs daily to extract employee data from Neogov Cloud and post to Oracle Cloud HCM. The implementation included structured error handling, logging and reconciliation in the middleware to support nightly import workflows into Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud.
The project footprint centered on county HR operations and payroll adjacent functions by centralizing Core HR records in Oracle Cloud HCM and automating the daily employee data transfer from Neogov. Governance activity included formal requirements analysis and design reviews during development, with CherryRoad Technologies responsible for integration delivery and operational handoff.
