Datacom Group Ltd served as the implementation partner, delivering the cloud contact centre solution and provisioning the Genesys Cloud CX environment. Operational coverage includes a newly established contact centre in Morwell, Victoria, where Alinta has on shoring of 250 jobs, and the platform is positioned to support the electricity generator and retailer’s customer engagement function across its 1.1 million residential and business customers and multi-technology generation portfolio.
A staged rollout was planned with a first stage go live date set for September 2023, accompanied by governance and operational oversight from the customer engagement leadership team. Cindy Vandecasteele, general manager of customer engagement, articulated the omnichannel intent, saying “Whether that’s through a website chat or app, via email, on the phone or social media, we want to be there for our customers when they need us on the channel that’s right for them.”
