In 2014, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions upgraded Oracle E-Business Suite from 11i to R12. The Oracle E-Business Suite implementation targeted ERP Financial capabilities to consolidate core financial controls and reporting across the department.
A small FusionApps team executed the project within a four month delivery window, managing upgrade sequencing, regression testing, defect re working and end user training. The Oracle E-Business Suite upgrade included configuration of R12 financials and application of the release specific patches required for the target version.
Implementation work focused on core financial modules typical of ERP Financial deployments, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and subledger processing to support departmental accounting and statutory reporting workflows. Architecture followed a two tier model with application tier and database tier on premises for R12, and data conversion and reconciliation activities were executed alongside functional testing to preserve transaction integrity during the upgrade.
