AP2E | Manufacturing | 65 | $8M | France | SAP | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | 2023 | In 2023, AP2E implemented SAP S/4 HANA Cloud Public as its ERP Financial solution to modernize the company information system and align with Durag group standards while supporting growth. The decision targeted a preconfigured public cloud edition to gain industry best practices and a scalable, standardized backbone for accounting, production and operational flows. The SAP S/4 HANA Cloud Public deployment activated specific scope items to cover core functions including finance and accounting, production management, supply chain and HR processes, with traceability features for serial numbers and batch management. Configuration followed a Fit-to-Standard approach, limiting bespoke development and enabling progressive activation of additional scope items as needs evolve. KPC Group served as the systems integrator, delivering the program using SAP Activate methodology, and providing end-to-end support through a dedicated team composed of a project manager and consultants focused on Production, Supply Chain and Finance. Workshops with key users were used to standardize process design and drive adoption among a technically oriented engineering population. The rollout also acted as a pilot for the Durag Group to inform subsequent S/4 HANA Cloud Public migrations. Operational coverage extended across AP2E manufacturing, engineering, finance and supply chain functions, and the implementation simplified exchanges and consolidation with the parent company through a common SAP environment. The solution addressed prior heterogeneity of data and improved real-time visibility of activities, enabling more consistent KPI reporting and cross-entity data flows with suppliers, partners and customers. Governance practices included structured SAP Activate phases, Fit-to-Standard governance with key-user signoffs and scope item management to control future change. Reported outcomes from the project included easier user adoption due to improved ergonomics, automation of routine tasks and guaranteed product traceability, while the platform’s alignment with best practices supports ongoing IS standardization across the group. | |

Biocoop | Healthcare | 3200 | $470M | France | SAP | SAP BPC Financial Close | Financial Consolidation and Close | 2022 | In 2022, Biocoop implemented SAP BPC Financial Close to centralize forecasting and budget monitoring across its organization. The deployment targets Financial Consolidation and Close processes and specifically supports forecasting phases described as Landing, Budget, Simulations and Business Plan, aligning the application to Biocoop business planning needs. The implementation used SAP BPC NW and BI Edge, configured into two distinct data models, one focused on turnover and margin at the platform level and the other on departmental income statement reporting. Delivered functional capabilities included forecast input management, scenario simulations, budget monitoring, automated allocation and reallocation rules, and historization to preserve reference snapshots for consistent comparisons. Integration work prioritized recovery and optimization of existing corporate data into the SAP BPC NW environment, with no additional named third party systems introduced in the engagement. Operational coverage encompassed platform-level commercial metrics and departmental profit and loss processes, supporting finance teams responsible for consolidation, planning and reporting across Biocoop. Project governance combined KPC Group project management with progressive administrator training and a joint delivery model to transfer skills to Biocoop teams. Delivery activities included acceptance assistance, contextualized documentation and ongoing application maintenance, and configuration was designed to reflect Biocoop organizational specificities while standardizing processes for traceability. Reported benefits from the Biocoop and KPC Group engagement include harmonization and traceability through standardized and historized processes, centralization and comparability of forecast phases in a single tool, strengthened reliability and security of financial data, more precise simulations of turnover, margins and results by sector and project, and simplified allocations through automated rules. |
