Operational architecture paired Emerson DeltaV as the real-time control layer with Syncade MES for higher-level orchestration, enabling structured handoffs between control automation and operator tasks. The implementation scope was a US pilot located in Massachusetts and focused on manufacturing operations and quality execution within the integrated continuous manufacturing pilot. NECI served as the system integrator and implementation partner, leading configuration and pilot rollout while governance centralized around MES-driven operator procedures and orchestration workflows. The pilot explicitly targeted large reductions in lead time and cost of goods and improvements in quality, and those targets drove process design and MES orchestration strategy.
