In 2013, Spectrum Brands implemented Centric PXM (formerly Contentserv) in a Product Information Management deployment to consolidate product data across more than 12 brands. The SDZeCOM Germany project brief records that SDZeCOM began engagement in 2013 and delivered the Centric PXM based PIM/DAM implementation and automation for the account.
The implementation combined PIM and DAM capabilities, configuring a centralized product master and digital asset management to ingest, enrich and govern SKU attributes and multimedia at brand level. Centric PXM was configured to automate catalog production and to support multi language syndication workflows, enabling template driven publishing and localization pipelines for product content.
The PIM/DAM solution was integrated with SAP to synchronize product master attributes and to support downstream catalog generation and syndication. Integrations focused on ERP synchronization for core product metadata and on exportable, multi language feeds for external channels and markets, aligning product content with transactional and marketing systems.
Governance was formalized through centralized content stewardship and workflow based approvals to manage the 12 plus brand portfolio, with SDZeCOM Germany delivering implementation services and automation. A stated operational outcome from the engagement was a reduction in catalog production time from roughly one year to about a week following deployment of Centric PXM and the automated catalog workflows.
