In 2008, Yazaki Europe deployed SupplyOn Forecast Collaboration as a Europe-focused procurement and supply chain initiative. The deployment placed SupplyOn Forecast Collaboration in the Demand Forecasting and Planning category to centralize forecast messages and supplier collaboration, with program management run from Yazaki Europe offices in Cologne.
The implementation combined SupplyOn Forecast Collaboration with a SEEBURGER integration layer, using SEEBURGER to onboard non-EDI suppliers and to handle EDI message traffic. Functional capabilities implemented included forecast message exchange, electronic order processing and advanced shipping notice handling, together with supplier onboarding workflows that replaced manual faxing and spreadsheet reconciliation. The joint SEEBURGER and SupplyOn offering translated and routed supplier messages into Yazaki procurement and supply chain message streams, standardizing data formats and connectivity across disparate supplier endpoints.
Rollout scope was Europe focused, addressing procurement and supply chain supplier integration across regional sites and sourcing teams. SEEBURGER was named as the integration partner in the announcement and carried responsibility for integrating non-EDI suppliers and managing EDI processes for forecasts, orders and ASNs. The program restructured supplier communication workflows and reduced manual fax and Excel work while improving electronic supplier integration into forecast and order flows.
