Functional capabilities emphasized real-time transaction routing and data synchronization for order processing, with Database Management best practices applied to secure and optimize DB2 connectivity. Maru-T migrated IBM i and Linux workloads to IBM Power Virtual Server with MONO-X, with implementation services provided by StratusVue, and retained Ibm Db2 Connect for cross-platform connectivity. The infrastructure migration reduced daily batch processing from approximately 30 minutes to approximately 3 minutes and improved disaster recovery and scalability while preserving live application links for sales and ordering. Operational coverage included sales, inventory and agent-ordering business functions, and the combined architecture centralized Ibm Db2 Connect as the integration backbone between external Linux applications and IBM i transactional systems. The project explicitly uses Ibm Db2 Connect within its Database Management stack to maintain up-to-date data for order processing and sales across Japanese operations.
