The technical architecture centered on an on premises MSSQL 2008 R2 database for data fetching and transactional storage, with POS endpoints at individual store terminals connecting to LS Retail and Microsoft Dynamics NAV for real time and batch synchronization. Customizations were implemented for the GMR client to adapt POS flows, reporting extracts, and data interfaces across the terminal store estate.
Operational governance combined Terminal DIAL technical consultants and Trident Technologies during rollout and ongoing support, with technical consultants providing issue resolution for NAV and Retail POS across all airport stores. Support activities included troubleshooting NAV and Retail POS incidents, maintaining MSSQL integrations, and handling bespoke customizations, sustaining the ERP Financial application in a high throughput airport retail environment.
