In 2017, Fleet Farm expanded its Blue Yonder footprint and implemented Blue Yonder Demand Planning (ex JDA Demand Planning) as part of a new supply chain strategy. The deployment focused on Demand Forecasting and Planning to improve inventory management and support a revised distribution approach for its 37 stores.
The implementation included a suite of JDA branded modules, explicitly Advanced Store Replenishment and Space & Category Management, alongside JDA Demand, JDA Fulfillment and JDA Flowcasting solutions. Blue Yonder Demand Planning was configured to provide demand forecasting and replenishment planning capabilities, while Flowcasting was used to align distribution-level planning with store-level replenishment and category space planning.
Operational coverage centered on store replenishment and distribution orchestration for the retailer network, with the solution intended to coordinate demand signals, fulfillment planning and space optimization across the retail footprint. Integration points were organized around replenishment workflows, fulfillment orchestration and category management processes to create a cohesive end to end planning-to-fulfillment loop.
Governance and rollout were led by JDA professional services in partnership with VACO Consulting, who directed implementation sequencing and process alignment across merchandising, supply chain planning and store operations. The initiative was positioned to support the new distribution strategy and was explicitly anticipated to improve inventory management as part of the retailer’s broader supply chain redesign.
