In 2017 Widewaters Group implemented OpenText Extended ECM as its Enterprise Content Management platform to centralize document management across its North American real-estate verticals. The deployment established OpenText Extended ECM as the primary repository for transactional records and compliance documents used by multiple corporate functions.
Configuration emphasized core Enterprise Content Management capabilities, including document lifecycle management, records retention, metadata taxonomy, role based access controls and automated content workflows. OpenText Extended ECM was configured to support onboarding automation and controlled external collaboration consistent with typical ECM process patterns.
The implementation integrated OpenText Extended ECM with Microsoft 365 to automate employee onboarding workflows and to streamline external data sharing. Wisteria Information Technologies served as the implementation partner and delivered connector configuration, content consolidation planning and user training across the group.
Governance changes included centralized content ownership, standardized metadata definitions and rollout of common retention and access workflows aligned to accounting, HR and legal responsibilities. The program accelerated data sharing by about 50 percent and increased employee productivity by over 350 percent while achieving group wide adoption across business functions.
