In 2016 Nine Network deployed Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as its ERP Financial application. Oracle PeopleSoft ERP was used by Channel 9 staff in Darwin NT to perform invoice data entry and coding as part of broadcast advertising billing workflows.
The implementation focused on core ERP Financial capabilities common to PeopleSoft deployments, with functional emphasis on accounts payable and invoicing data capture and general ledger posting related to advertising revenue items. Configuration work centered on invoice coding fields, data entry screens and transaction workflows that traffic coordinators used to record agency invoices and spot level billing details.
Operational use of Oracle PeopleSoft ERP sat alongside broadcast traffic and scheduling tools that staff reported using, specifically IBMS, Phoenix, Satin and Sales and Traffic, without claims of technical integration between those products. The deployment supported cross functional tasks across Traffic, Sales and Finance at the Darwin site, including filling ad breaks on the Gem channel and producing debriefs that referenced aired advertisements.
Governance and process controls emphasized centralized invoice data entry, adherence to confidentiality agreements and procedural handoffs between reception, traffic coordination and finance teams. Station level adoption during 2016 included documented procedures for invoice coding and release deadline coordination to ensure billing records were captured in Oracle PeopleSoft ERP.

Configuration work included tag placement, page-level targeting rules, and inference-driven content classification to align advertising inventory with page context and visual elements.
