In 2015 Ambatovy implemented Meta4 PeopleNet as its Core HR system for its Madagascar operations, establishing a centralized HRIS to support enterprise payroll and workforce management. The Meta4 PeopleNet deployment was scoped to HCM and payroll workflows and explicitly included Time and Attendance management, with payroll processing configured for approximately 3,400 employees.
Configuration work centered on Payroll, HCM, and Time and Attendance modules, supported by iterative group workshops that collected and analyzed business requirements and produced solution design documentation. The implementation team performed Payroll process reviews and Training GAP analysis, and customized Meta4 PeopleNet to reflect local statutory and operational payroll rules and to support ongoing production support and project delivery.
Meta4 PeopleNet was configured as the single source of employee data and integrated operationally with downstream business systems, with employee master data and payroll outputs transferred to Baan for finance processing and to the enterprise asset management system EAM. Operational ownership included HR leadership, HR Business Partners, the CFO organization, and Information Technology, and the HRIS supported day to day helpdesk services, incident troubleshooting, and change request analysis.
Governance practices included iterative requirements mapping, solution design signoff, go live support, and post go live incident trend analysis to identify module improvements. The rollout achieved the stated objectives of implementing the Payroll process and Time and Attendance management, and ongoing workstreams produced operational reports and business solution improvement recommendations for HR and payroll operations.

In 2018 Ambatovy implemented HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) as its Enterprise Asset Management platform across the Ambatovy Joint Venture operation in Madagascar. The deployment targeted Asset Monitoring Centre workflows and integrated asset health practices into Reliability, Maintenance, Planning, Process Engineering and Plant Operations functions.
Configuration of HxGN EAM emphasized condition based maintenance routing, inspection PM management, and centralized work order handling, reflecting advanced Infor EAM style preventive maintenance constructs. Functional capabilities implemented include consolidation of inspection data into single asset diagnoses, watchlist management for equipment health, KPI panel and automatic report generation, statistical correlation of process indicators and failure trigger definitions, and formal CBM route development and auditing.
Operational usage centered on the Asset Monitoring Centre and field inspectors, with Asset Monitoring Centre Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Process Engineers, Plant Engineers and maintenance planners using HxGN EAM for daily monitoring and coordination. The implementation formalized routine monitoring of vibration, thermography and ultrasound parameters, and established workflows to communicate priorities to SCM, Maintenance, Operations, Process Technologies and Shops without asserting specific system to system integrations.
Governance arrangements embedded the AMC watchlist into maintenance planning meetings and morning update cycles, tasked AMC staff with managing HxGN EAM work orders and maintaining watchlist status, and required inspection report review and CBM route audits. The rollout included role level procedures for supervision, knowledge transfer to national employees, training and mentoring responsibilities for inspectors, and support for establishing annual targets and evaluation criteria within the Enterprise Asset Management environment.
