In 2008, AB InBev implemented FIS GETPAID as an AR Automation application to centralize accounts receivable operations for its Belgium business unit. The deployment supported a Belgium-based operational team of eight responsible for accounts receivable, payrolls, and draught installations sales and purchase, with SLA oversight and regular reporting to the L5 manager.
FIS GETPAID was configured to manage customer payments, outgoing runs, and balance reporting, serving as the core AR processing and reconciliation engine. A designated super key user acted as technical contact, managed escalations, and supervised a structured testing phase involving 30 testers, while owning change request elaboration and feasibility evaluation.
The implementation integrated with SAP-ERP/ISP, AS400, and Costumer1 to exchange payment, accounts and ledger data, enabling coordinated handoffs between Sales and Finance. The implementation team organized conference calls and stakeholder meetings to provide visibility on migrated activities and to facilitate alignment across sensitive Belgian business stakeholders.
Governance centered on a formal testing and change control workflow, escalation paths to the technical team, and ongoing SLA management between operations and the L5 manager. Operational coverage emphasized AR functional disciplines including customer payments processing, outgoing run scheduling, and balance reporting, with centralized oversight and structured communication channels.
