In 2014, Ansell Malaysia implemented Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable as part of an AP Automation initiative. The deployment used Oracle EBS version 12.2.5 within the companys ERP footprint and focused on centralizing Accounts Payable workflows alongside linked finance and supply chain processes in Malaysia.
The implementation covered explicit EBS modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Inventory, Order Management, and Purchasing, and supported the order to cash cycle. Technical workstreams included PL/SQL development, custom XML report development for AP and AR reporting, configuration of descriptive flexfields, forms personalization, and customization of standard workflow to embed an approval system and a custom process to assign assets to the Project module.
Integration work included building interfaces between supply chain and financial modules and executing data conversion and migration into Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable. The project addressed data flows and reporting orchestration between transactional modules and AP processing, with technical documentation and interface definitions captured as part of development activities.
Governance and process controls were formalized through business analysis workflows, templates and standards, elicitation and documentation of business requirements into system functional specifications, and technical documentation artifacts such as BR100, MD50, and MD70. Requirements were closely managed with key stakeholders and reported to client officials for compliance with applicable legislative acts and decrees.
