| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2015 | 2016 |
In 2015, Babcock International Group implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the ERP Financial backbone for a 1,000 strong business unit based in the United Kingdom and Europe. The deployment covered core financial and operational modules, specifically SAP FI, CO, PSC, PS, SD, SRM, BW and IDM, and included a stated integration with SuccessFactors to align HR and workforce data flows with the ERP Financial environment.
The programme executed a formal Blueprint phase that confirmed a standard design and identified RICEFW enhancements, including additional BW reports, a bespoke interface, and an extra ECC report transaction. Project delivery maintained a tracked baseline plan and project initiation document, with s-curve burn-down reporting to the executive Steering Committee and weekly status inputs to the Programme Office, aligning configuration and custom development with the documented requirements.
Architecturally the implementation combined SAP ERP ECC 6.0 core modules with BW for reporting and IDM for identity management, while the declared SuccessFactors integration connected HR master data into transactional and project accounting processes. The scope touched finance, controlling, project systems, sales and distribution, and supplier relationship management functions across the UK and European business unit, and included migration of transactional and service responsibilities into a shared services centre.
Programme governance incorporated Business Unit Steering Committee administration, stakeholder relationship management and escalation handling, and active risk and issue controls. Realisation progressed through System Integration Testing, a Full Dress Rehearsal, User Acceptance Testing, and formal hand over to Cut-Over, followed by structured Ramp-up and Stabilisation, with Business Readiness delivered against the standard template and final migration of services into the SSC.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing | Candidate Relationship Management | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Babcock International Group implemented SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing as part of a broader SuccessFactors suite deployment at its Crawley UK operation. The program ran from January 2015 through March 2016 and covered a UK based workforce of approximately 28,000 employees, targeting recruitment and HR automation for defence, energy, transport and related support services.
The implementation included SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, Recruitment Management, Recruitment Marketing, Onboarding and Learning Management, with SAP HCM Time Management also in scope. Recruitment Marketing was configured to deliver Candidate Relationship Management capabilities including candidate engagement workflows, talent pool segmentation, branded career site profiling and handoff into Recruitment Management and Onboarding processes.
Integrations were executed using Boomi Atomsphere and SAP Process Integration PI to synchronize master employee records, payroll feeds and time management data between SAP HCM and the SuccessFactors suite. The architecture combined cloud based SuccessFactors modules with on premises SAP HCM components, using middleware for event driven and batch data exchange to support end to end candidate to employee lifecycle flows.
The engagement was associated with Tata Consultancy Services, with responsibility explicitly covering SAP HCM Time Management implementation and integration governance using Boomi and PI. Operational scope focused on HR, recruitment, payroll and learning functions within the UK, with implementation governance organized around module handoffs, integration verification and staged rollout across the Crawley site and related UK business units.
