| Fusion5 | Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll | Fusion5 EmpowerHR Payroll | Payroll | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016, Bendigo TAFE implemented Fusion5 EmpowerHR Payroll. The deployment targeted Payroll as the Apps Category and replaced two Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll systems that supported Bendigo TAFE with a coordinated implementation alongside Kangan Institute.
The project delivered Fusion5 EmpowerHR Payroll together with Fusion5 TimeFiler for time capture and PeopleStreme HCM for core HR functions, creating an integrated payroll and HCM stack. Configuration work concentrated on payroll rule sets, award interpretation, time-to-pay reconciliation, and mapping PeopleStreme HR records to payroll data structures.
Integration work included HRIS integration, system integration and data interfaces, migration of transactional and master data from Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll, and single sign on for user authentication. The technical approach emphasized interface orchestration and secure data migration to ensure continuity of automated pay runs and time and attendance feeds.
Program governance was driven by Business Requirements and To Be process flows, with formal UAT cycles and staged cutover planning executed during the contract engagement of an IT Senior Business Analyst. Operational scope covered payroll and HR departments, and the rollout required restructured payroll and time and attendance workflows to align with the new Fusion5 EmpowerHR Payroll and PeopleStreme HCM configuration.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft 365 | Collaboration | Collaboration | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Bendigo TAFE implemented Microsoft 365 as a Collaboration platform to centralize institutional email and core collaboration services. The deployment established a cloud-hosted Microsoft 365 tenant that serves as the primary collaboration backbone for staff communications and administrative workflows. Bendigo TAFE Microsoft 365 Collaboration supports centralized mailbox management and institutional collaboration across the organization.
The college’s website is explicitly integrated with Office 365 Mail for public-facing contact forms and site email routing, showing Exchange Online mailboxes handle inbound and outbound website messages. As part of a Collaboration deployment, Microsoft 365 typically provides Exchange Online for mail, SharePoint Online for intranet and document collaboration, OneDrive for Business for personal file storage, and Microsoft Teams for messaging and meetings, which aligns with common functional modules expected in this category.
Operational responsibility is scoped to the institution’s central IT organization and to staff across campus, with tenant-level administration and Azure Active Directory identity management used to govern accounts and access as is standard with Microsoft 365. Governance workstreams for mailbox lifecycle, domain and DNS configuration tied to the website, and collaboration site access would be expected components of the rollout, reflecting the intersection of the website integration and institutional collaboration needs.

| DocuSign | Legacy | DocuSign eSignature | Digital Signing | Content Management | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Bendigo TAFE deployed DocuSign eSignature as a Digital Signing solution on its website. The implementation is focused on embedding web-based signing workflows to capture electronically signed agreements and consent for externally facing forms and document approvals. DocuSign eSignature is used to present signature requests and capture signer acceptance directly within site pages.
Configuration centers on web-embedded signing flows, template-driven documents, and standard eSignature capabilities such as signer authentication, envelope routing, and audit trail capture. The implementation leverages DocuSign eSignature hosted signing sessions and template management to standardize document presentation and signature sequencing in a web context. Functional terminology aligned with the Digital Signing category includes signer authentication, envelope lifecycle, and signed artifact retention.
Operational scope is scoped to the public website channel, with administrative controls for template and user management expected to be held by institutional staff. Governance emphasizes signature validity, retention of signed artifacts, and auditability to support institutional recordkeeping requirements. The deployment positions DocuSign eSignature as Bendigo TAFE's web-based Digital Signing mechanism for public-facing document capture.
