In 2011 Bombardier Transportation India deployed SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform, executing SAP ABAP development work in an ECC 6.0 environment. The engagement centered on application-level reporting and remediation activities tied to sales and finance business functions, with development tasks performed under a Senior Systems Engineer role.
Development work on SAP ERP ECC 6.0 included multiple custom ALV report implementations, specifically an ALV to display customer master data alongside sales order header and item details with a company logo rendered in the basic list, an ALV to calculate and display marginal profit for sales documents, and an ALV to present open sales orders. The scope also included Custom Objects Remediation via EPC checks, indicating code quality and compliance remediation within the ECC codebase.
Operational coverage emphasized transactional sales and finance workflows inside the ERP Financial system, with ABAP reporting tied to sales order processing, customer master management, and financial document visibility. Work was executed against SAP standard tables and modules consistent with ECC reporting, aligning application development with order-to-cash and financial reporting processes.
Governance and delivery practices documented in the project notes included unit testing, defects analysis, review and tracking, and remediation activities, with the Senior Systems Engineer responsible for development, test execution, and defect lifecycle management. The implementation narrative reflects application-level configuration and custom code governance within SAP ERP ECC 6.0, focused on reporting accuracy and code compliance.

In 2009, Bombardier Transportation India implemented UKG Workforce Central (ex Kronos Workforce Central) as its Workforce Management solution at the Savli Plant in Gujarat. The deployment concentrated on timekeeping, workforce scheduling, absence management, and labor reporting capabilities that are core to Workforce Management systems. The implementation brought HR and plant operations into a standardized platform to support shift-based labor, attendance capture, and exception processing for manufacturing operations.
UKG Workforce Central was configured for shop floor scheduling, employee time capture, and centralized roster management, with operational governance assigned to plant HR and operations teams. The architecture followed a period-typical on premises deployment model, with local user administration and process changes to shift assignment, approvals, and exception workflows. Rollout covered the Savli Plant site and focused on operational continuity for manufacturing and maintenance functions.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016, Bombardier Transportation India implemented IBM Maximo as part of its Enterprise Asset Management footprint at the KPD/YBD Metro Depot in New Delhi for the Delhi Metro RS-11/16 project. The deployment supported warehouse and onsite logistics operations under the Warehouse Incharge role during October 2016 to February 2019 and resumed February 2021 to till date.
IBM Maximo was configured to manage inbound receipt and GRN workflows, tagging and storage by material characteristics, issue and consumption tracking against BOMs, and job card or work order issuance for rotating and non-rotating spares. Functional capabilities included spare parts inventory, re-order level control, lot and batch number tracking, hazardous material handling with MSDS linkage, and tooling and test equipment custody.
Operational data was synchronized with ERP/SAP/Oracle, Tally ERP 9, and Microsoft Excel for procurement, finance, and reporting processes, with daily database backups recorded as part of control procedures. Process routing connected Maximo work orders to procurement and accounts workflows, and supported transfers to inter depots, job work, molding, plating, and sales channels through documented transfer paperwork and GRN processes.
Governance emphasized daily MIS reporting to senior management, monthly and perpetual audits, FIFO and LIFO stock controls, maintenance of minimum and maximum stock levels, and 5s driven housekeeping across stores. Roles and workflows were formalized through site-level supervision, duty rosters, supplier follow-up processes, and periodic training sessions organized by material management.
The implementation concentrated IBM Maximo as the primary Enterprise Asset Management system for inventory control, tooling custody, and work order orchestration within warehouse, production support, procurement, and maintenance functions at the New Delhi depot.
