Configuration work focused on standard Absence and Leave Management capabilities including configurable absence types and policies, accrual and eligibility rules, employee self-service leave requests, manager approval workflows, and absence calendars and balances. The implementation used Workday Absence Management to align absence policy enforcement with payroll cutoffs and timekeeping records, and to standardize absence data capture for HR reporting and compliance.
Operational integration was executed inside the broader Workday ecosystem, with explicit connections to Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Time modules to ensure a single source of truth for worker profiles, payroll impacts, and benefit eligibility. Governance and rollout were led by the Senior Director, HR Technology & Insights, who drove strategy and ongoing operations for HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Absence, and Learning, and instituted role-based access, approval routing controls, and policy configuration processes to manage changes and operational ownership.

The implementation included configuration of revenue schedules, accounting rule sets, and period close orchestration typical of Revenue Cycle Management implementations, using Zuora Revenue and Zuora RevPro capabilities.
Architecturally the Zuora Revenue solution was integrated into CDK Global's Lead to Cash reference architecture, with explicit interfaces to Salesforce, Oracle CPQ Cloud, and Oracle ERP Cloud components for Subscription Management, Order Management, Install Base, and Receivables. Integration technologies called out in the program included Oracle Integration Cloud and PaaS/ATP, and the deployment was coordinated with an enterprise data warehouse in the cloud OAC to support reporting and reconciliation needs.
Governance and rollout were driven by IT leadership working with business stakeholders and KPMG to define a roadmap, a target state reference architecture, and cross-platform process flows spanning Lead to Cash, Record to Report, and Master Data Management. The rollout was coordinated alongside Oracle CPQ and ERP deployments to preserve order to invoice traceability and to align accounting automation across systems.
The Zuora Revenue implementation directly supported CDK Global's ASC 606 revenue recognition program and was positioned within broader IT initiatives such as invoice simplification, project portfolio management, and system separations and integrations for divestitures and acquisitions. Zuora Revenue and Zuora RevPro configurations were managed as part of enterprise accounting controls and period close workflows.
