In 2021, Cheer Pack North America deployed IFS CRM as part of its broader IFS.ai application landscape to support rapid manufacturing growth and expanded sales operations. The deployment sat alongside a modular IFS ERP architecture already used across manufacturing and provided the company with scalable available-to-promise capability as it added a new plant and grew to over 270 employees.
Implementation focused on functional modules commonly associated with the CRM category, with explicit use of the customer service module and the CRM module to surface opportunities and drive sales motions. Manufacturing and quality modules were implemented in parallel, document management was centralized for version control and scanning, and the shop-order configuration replaced the prior production line approach to provide the finer lot traceability customers required.
Operational architecture included real-time access to IFS.ai from shop floor and warehouse roles, enabled by a mobility rollout using more than thirty Microsoft Surface Pro tablets as laptop replacements. The IFS CRM and adjacent modules were used by sales, customer service, manufacturing supervisors and warehouse coordinators to create a seamless connection between sales, production and warehouse and to surface real-time production and inventory data.
Governance and rollout emphasized training and staged adoption, with sales staff receiving classes to adopt IFS CRM and plans to extend the sales module to broaden usage. Outcomes recorded by the customer include complete stock visibility, reduced costs through time savings, improved lot traceability, centralized document control and quantified time savings for supervisors and warehouse employees through mobile access to IFS.ai.
