Infor Legacy Infor CloudSuite HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2014 2014
In 2014 City of Omaha deployed Infor CloudSuite HCM as its Core HR application to centralize human resources data and operational workflows within the Human Resources Department. The implementation established Infor CloudSuite HCM as the authoritative system for employee records, position classification, pay administration, benefits management, recruitment and selection, training records, retirement tracking, and performance appraisal processes. Configuration work focused on functional alignment and automation, the project configured Infor CloudSuite HCM to enforce data integrity rules, role based access, and routine data validation, while enabling reporting and query capabilities used by HR staff. The HRIS team performed process mapping and translated business requirements into technical specifications, implemented report templates for mandatory filings such as EEO 4 and VETS 4212, and developed user training materials and documentation to support adoption of Infor CloudSuite HCM. Operational integration centered on interfacing and data exchange with City IT systems, the HRIS analyst functioned as the liaison between HR and IT to coordinate data feeds, imports and exports, and to address technical incidents with the vendor as needed. The implementation included routine audit processes, frontline technical support workflows, and coordinated testing and deployment of upgrades and patches for Infor CloudSuite HCM in collaboration with IT staff. Governance and operational ownership were established through a functional system administrator role responsible for configuration management, user provisioning, security and compliance checks, and ongoing process improvements. Training, troubleshooting, and documentation responsibilities were embedded in HR operations, including maintenance of public facing HR content, with structured testing plans used for upgrades and clear escalation paths to IT and the vendor when technical issues arose.
