In 2007, Continental Automotive implemented SAP Concur Expense as its Expense Management platform. The initiative was executed as a system conversion from SAP Travel Management to Concur, with an integral project team responsible for conversion tasks, training delivery, and production readiness.
Implementation work included mapping the daily Human Resources extract to SAP Concur Expense to support cost center updates, business area updates, and manager updates, and rigorous analysis of the Concur test system prior to production cutover. Configuration efforts focused on the data flow from Concur to SAP, establishing expense processing workflows, and enabling accrual reporting within the Concur environment. The team developed Concur and Cognos reports for expenses per employee, cost center, business area, and accruals.
Integration design incorporated daily extracts from BOA to Concur and from Concur to SAP, with interfaces configured to maintain master data synchronization between HR, expense, and finance systems. Operational coverage included HR, travel administration, and finance teams, plus the mass employee population for expense submission and approval routing. The deployment centralized expense submission, approval workflows, and reporting in the SAP Concur Expense environment.
Governance included documented procedures in SAP Travel Management, training sessions and ongoing support for travel administrators and the broader user base, and a testing discipline emphasizing error resolution before go live. Process streamlining and targeted error remediation eliminated four million dollars of erroneous expenses. Post production, scheduled extracts and configured interfaces sustained data consistency between Concur and SAP.

| Hewlett Packard Enterprise | Legacy | HPE Blockchain | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
Continental Automotive implemented HPE Blockchain in 2019 as a Blockchain Platform to enable vehicle data monetization. The deployment uses a decentralized architecture where participants such as car manufacturers retain raw telemetry in their own data centers and expose only specific data sets upon purchase directly to the buyer. The platform centralizes transaction orchestration on the HPE Blockchain ledger while maintaining distributed data storage to preserve participant control and provenance.
Functional capabilities implemented include secure ledger recording of data purchase events, controlled data access and purchase workflows, and orchestration of data exchange to enforce purchase conditions. Integrations are implemented at the participant data center endpoints, with the platform mediating access rather than relocating proprietary data, enabling cross-enterprise monetization between manufacturers and buyers. Governance is structured to preserve data sovereignty for all participants and to provide a secure, efficient procedure for monetizing vehicle data as described in the HPE Blockchain Blockchain Platform deployment.
