SAP Legacy SAP Concur Expense Expense Management ERP n/a 2010 2010
In 2010 CROSSMARK Australia, A DKSH|Smollan Company implemented SAP Concur Expense to centralize corporate travel and purchasing card workflows. The implementation used the Concur Web Expense interface as the primary user experience to operationalize Expense Management for accounting, travel administration, and procurement related tasks. The configuration emphasized core expense management capabilities, including creation and submission of electronic expense reports in SAP Concur Expense, reconciliation of corporate card accounts, and scheduled delinquency and reconciliation reporting. The deployment supported program administration activities such as issuing and coding Com Data purchase cards, processing weekly invoices, and using corporate card transaction data to reconcile travel expenses. Operational integrations were explicit and operational rather than hypothetical, with the accounting team using the AMEX C.A.R. tool to balance and reconcile travel expenses alongside Concur Web Expense workflows. The implementation involved regular interaction with credit card providers and Customer Relation reps to manage card applications, account delinquencies, and reconciliations, aligning Concur expense processes with external card vendor procedures. Governance was organized through accounting and travel program administration, with documented processes for pulling delinquency reports, contacting employees about delinquent corporate accounts, and training staff on how to create and submit expense reports. The operational scope included accounting specialists and travel administrators who managed day to day expense processing, reconciliation, and employee training in support of the Expense Management program.
