In 2012, Csg Systems International implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to serve ERP Financial functions across its organization. The deployment was executed as an R12 upgrade that retrofitted processes and customizations previously implemented in Oracle 11i EBS to function within the upgraded R12 Oracle E-Business Suite environment.
Configuration work focused on core financial modules aligned with the ERP Financial category, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management and subledger accounting. Custom PL SQL, forms extensions and reporting packages were adapted to the R12 architecture, while descriptive flexfields, profile options and the R12 security model were employed to standardize configuration.
Operational scope centered on enterprise finance and accounting workflows, aligning chart of accounts structures and transaction posting rules with the R12 accounting engine. Data model adjustments and data conversion routines were executed to map Oracle 11i artifacts into the R12 schema while preserving customized business logic.
Governance emphasized process remediation and coordinated testing cycles to validate retrofitted customizations and to standardize approval workflows within the new application controls. Cutover planning included staged testing and reconciliation processes to confirm accounting integrity during the R12 go live.

| Phenom | Legacy | Phenom Talent CRM | Candidate Relationship Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Csg Systems International implemented Phenom Talent CRM to centralize Candidate Relationship Management capabilities within its recruitment stack. The deployment focused on harvesting and operationalizing talent data to close gaps in sourcing and candidate engagement identified by the talent acquisition leadership.
Phenom Talent CRM was configured to surface valuable talent data, power targeted campaigns, and detect passive candidates, aligning recruitment marketing workflows with candidate experience touchpoints. The implementation leveraged Phenom TXM platform capabilities for campaign orchestration, candidate segmentation, and conversion funnel optimization to increase traffic and engagement on the careers site.
A complete Workday Recruiting integration was a core technical element, enabling synchronization of requisitions and candidate status data between Phenom Talent CRM and HR systems to maintain hiring workflow continuity. Operational ownership centered on the Talent Acquisition function, with the platform used by recruiting and sourcing teams to run targeted outreach and conversion campaigns.
Outcomes reported include a 377 percent increase in conversions driven by the harvested talent data and targeted campaigns, increased candidates to the career site, and a measurable ROI cited by the Executive Director of Talent Acquisition. The project also restructured recruitment processes by embedding data-driven campaign workflows into day-to-day sourcing and outreach activities, contributing to a shift from mediocre methods to award-winning practices.

| Hyperledger | Legacy | Hyperledger Fabric | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Csg Systems International began operating a blockchain lab in Cape Town that uses Hyperledger Fabric as the core technology, positioning Hyperledger Fabric within a Blockchain Platform approach to wholesale settlements. The lab initiative was created to evaluate how distributed ledgers can be applied across CSGs wholesale product line, with an immediate focus on carrier to carrier settlements and complex inter carrier agreements.
The lab instantiated three logical blockchain networks aligned to business functions, described as an agreement blockchain to record transactions between marketplace and customer, an event blockchain to capture events, traffic and usage passing between partners, and a financial blockchain to manage ratings and the processing of contracts once rates are defined. Implementation work emphasized permissioned ledger constructs and programmable smart contract capabilities typical of the Blockchain Platform category to automate rating, reconciliation and settlement workflows using Hyperledger Fabric.
Operational scope concentrated on wholesale functions including inter carrier settlements and international roaming, rather than the BSS products used by retail service providers. The lab also scoped potential extensions into pay TV and OTT settlement flows as these services are integrated into operator billing systems, preserving focus on carrier to carrier financial processes.
Governance and rollout planning included collaboration with the ITW Global Leaders Forum standards body and iterative proofs of concept intended for presentation to standards organizations. CSG designed the lab track to validate consensus, data accuracy and settlement automation with at least two willing carrier participants before any broader operational rollout.
Stated benefits under evaluation included improved accuracy of ratings and settlements, acceleration of revenue collection processes and a potential reduction in fraud due to traceable distributed ledgers. A clearly identified barrier is the need to secure sufficient carrier participation and agreement on a common ledger to realize multi party value.
