| Zuora | Legacy | Zuora Revenue | Revenue Cycle Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Dun & Bradstreet implemented Zuora Revenue as a core Revenue Cycle Management application to support ASC 606 revenue recognition and to centralize contract-aware revenue accounting across finance and revenue operations. Zuora Revenue was adopted to formalize contract-level recognition rules and to provide a unified revenue engine for recurring and multi-element arrangements.
The implementation configured the revenue recognition engine for ASC 606, contract accounting capabilities, and deferred revenue management modules within Zuora Revenue, with additional emphasis on contract-level revenue calculations and automated accrual and amortization entries. The program included automation for top-sided ASC 606 journal entries and accounting robotics to reduce manual close activities, and the team used Zuora Rev Pro for monthly revenue contract auditing and reconciliation routines.
Operational integrations included the companys internal sales and revenue recognition systems, and the rollout touched core finance and accounting teams with explicit operational coverage of the Canadian entity and North America revenue operations. The implementation supported functional workflows for contract review, recognition schedules by customer product and segment, and month end revenue close processes.
Governance and process changes were formalized through managed user acceptance testing, an established cadence of monthly reviewer and auditor responsibilities for customer contracts and Rev Pro revenue contracts, and formal approval controls for journals in the Canadian entity. The program also embedded subject matter expert review and mentoring into ongoing revenue governance to sustain ASC 606 policy application and calculation integrity.
Explicit operational outcomes documented by internal finance leadership included a deferred revenue process that provided line of sight on 500 million of future revenue by customer product line and segment, and a deferred revenue reconciliation with approximately 400 million balance where process improvements reduced reconciliation time by 50 percent. Historical finance consolidation work at Dun & Bradstreet also produced a billing system standardization that yielded 600000 annual finance cost savings, illustrating contiguous improvements in revenue operations and accounting efficiency.
