The implementation emphasized core financial modules within Oracle NetSuite ERP, with explicit configuration for accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows. Accounts payable functionality included vendor master maintenance, receipt and processing of vendor invoices and check requests, assignment of account company department and class coding, and maintenance of AP filing for paid and unpaid invoices. Accounts receivable functionality covered member billing management, interfacing with members on past due balances, updating payment information, and processing customer contracts.
The Oracle NetSuite ERP instance was provisioned to support remote work patterns, enabling centralized transaction processing and vendor file maintenance across the organization. Operational coverage concentrated on the accounting function while supporting membership facing finance interactions for a national membership base of attorneys.
Governance and process controls centered on vendor master controls, standardized transaction coding practices, AP and AR filing discipline, and workflows to prepare and send annual 1099s to vendors.
