In 2017 Electrolux North America implemented SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (SAP FSCM) as a targeted AR Automation initiative for Supply Chain Finance and Accounting. The rollout was executed in concert with planning and due diligence for conversion from JD Edwards to SAP for Supply Chain Finance and Accounting, and it focused on centralizing accounts receivable automation to support Transportation, Warehousing, Reverse Logistics, Last Mile, and Demand Planning business partners.
Configuration and functional work centered on accounts receivable workflows, automated collections and credit processes, and integration of AR transaction flows into the corporate general ledger. Electrolux redesigned all general ledger mapping and month end close processes to align with SAP Financial Supply Chain Management, and consolidated multiple reporting packages into standardized dashboard templates that also served global reporting requirements. The implementation incorporated cash application automation and dispute and collections orchestration in line with AR Automation capabilities.
Operational coverage included North America finance teams with outputs that supported global reporting, and the SAP Financial Supply Chain Management deployment was embedded into supply chain financial planning and operating cadence. The solution supported preparation of annual operating plans and the development of business cases for supply chain initiatives such as East Coast Import Hub and RDC insourcing, and it provided the transactional and reporting foundation used by local and offshore financial analysts.
Governance and process change emphasized new project rules, weekly measurement progress tracking, and the implementation of measurement processes and tools for the Achieving Cost Excellence program. Finance business partnering was formalized between supply chain leadership and the finance organization to establish and measure financial and operational KPIs, and month end close and GL mapping workflows were restructured to align with SAP FSCM data flows.
