| OpenText | Legacy | OpenText Vendor Invoice Management | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Emirates deployed OpenText Vendor Invoice Management as the core of a global AP Automation initiative, embedding the application to support Accounts Payable and end to end procure to pay processes across its organization. The implementation delivered a global P2P design configured across 50 international Group entities, explicitly aimed at standardizing requisitioning, material and service purchasing, order management, Accounts Payable processing and month end accounting activities.
OpenText Vendor Invoice Management was implemented with standard AP Automation capabilities for invoice capture, three way matching and tolerance handling, workflow based approval routing, exception resolution, and automated posting into the accounting layer. Configuration focused on consistent invoice validation rules, approval hierarchies and automation of matching logic to reduce manual touchpoints within the shared service operating model.
Architecturally the program integrated OpenText Vendor Invoice Management with SAP S/4 HANA and Ariba to establish an end to end requisition to payment flow, linking requisition and order data from Ariba into invoice validation and posting processes on S/4 HANA. The integrated approach unified master data and transactional handoffs between procurement, order management and finance, enabling invoice posting to the SAP general ledger and supporting month end accounting activities.
Governance was organized to support a global Shared Service model, with standardized process definitions, centralized AP controls and a coordinated rollout across the 50 group entities. The implementation explicitly enabled Emirates to standardize processes and align P2P workflows across procurement, order management and Accounts Payable under the AP Automation program.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017 Emirates implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits as part of a global SAP HR program that included oversight of SAP ERP design for the dnata Catering businesses. The implementation was led with a focus on core HR and talent management capabilities, and the scope explicitly covered Employee Central, Recruitment, On Boarding, Performance & Goals, Compensation & Variable Pay, Benefits, Learning, OpenText document management and Workforce Time & Attendance.
The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits deployment concentrated on Benefits Administration workflows, configuring eligibility and enrollment processes, plan definitions, and employee self service benefits interactions consistent with standard Benefits Administration capabilities. Employee Central was configured as the authoritative employee master, while SuccessFactors modules provided talent lifecycle orchestration and Compensation & Variable Pay supported pay for performance configuration.
Integrations were designed to align Employee Central with the SAP ERP instances used by dnata Catering businesses and to surface documentation via OpenText document management. Architecturally the design emphasized a central Employee Central system of record for global benefits data, integration points for payroll and workforce time feeds, and document exchange with OpenText to support compliance and record retention.
Governance centered on centralized configuration and global HR process standardization, with role based access controls and regional policy mapping to accommodate local benefits rules across sites. The program approach emphasized modular rollout of Recruitment, On Boarding, Performance & Goals, Compensation & Variable Pay, Benefits, Learning and Workforce Time & Attendance, with coordinated change control to manage cross module dependencies and HR operational workflows.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016, Emirates implemented IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to centralize facilities and estate maintenance across its Dubai and UAE properties. The IBM Maximo deployment targeted Facilities Management workflows for Emirates Airlines, covering 10 towers, gated residential communities with more than 3000 villas, and commercial and retail sites including projects such as Meydan District 11, Emirates Towers, and DSO Sedar Villas.
The implementation configured core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities including an asset register, work order and work management, preventive maintenance scheduling, contract and service level management, and inspection and quality assurance workflows. IBM Maximo was aligned with Computer Aided Facility Management practices to manage both hard and soft FM service contracts, plan MEP maintenance, and record site visit and project supervision activities.
Operational coverage emphasized cross functional collaboration rather than new system integrations, with the application used by Engineering, Facilities, Procurement and EHS teams to validate preventive maintenance, record contractor performance, and manage fit out and modification projects. The solution supported contractor work order issuance, random site inspections, and performance verification against SLAs, embedding maintenance governance into daily operations for villas, towers, and commercial assets.
Governance changes accompanied the rollout, with new policies and procedures implemented to strengthen environmental responsibility and ISO departmental accreditation, and internal auditor certification maintained for ISO 14001. The deployment of IBM Maximo was used to enforce PPM compliance with UAE guidelines and to standardize contractor evaluation processes, and operational disclosures note an achieved 30 percent reduction in quotation costs for specialized works through improved contract negotiation and oversight.
