SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial ERP n/a 2021 2021
In July 2021 ENEOS Holdings introduced CoMPASS, a core system built on SAP S/4 HANA that integrates its business processes with SAP's global standard processes. SAP S/4 HANA was implemented as the ERP Financial backbone to centralize transactional finance and operational process flows across the company. The implementation focused on consolidating core financial management and integrated business process workflows within CoMPASS, aligning master data and transactional processes with global standards. Configuration work emphasized standard SAP S/4 HANA financial modules and order-to-cash and procure-to-pay process orchestration, while the platform was designed to support common data models for analytics and prediction use cases. CoMPASS and SAP S/4 HANA are linked with a separate data analysis platform, and the implementation explicitly integrates in-house data from CoMPASS with various external data sources, customers, and IoT device data to enable cross-system analytics. The overall architecture uses a cloud environment to preserve flexibility of data utilization while meeting stated requirements for high security and reliability, positioning the ERP Financial instance as a central data source for analytics. Governance and operational scope center on strengthening competitiveness of core businesses and cultivating growth businesses, with the digital platform serving as a common foundation for prediction and data-driven business development. ENEOS Holdings is using the combined CoMPASS, SAP S/4 HANA, and data analysis platform arrangement to consolidate business process ownership, standardize workflows, and provide a single, analyzable source of transactional and external data for corporate decision making.

SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management Talent Management HCM ABeam Consulting 2020 2020
In 2020, ENEOS Holdings implemented SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management under a program named PASSPORT, with ABeam Consulting serving as the implementation partner. The project launched in April 2020, the human resource database and learning management modules were placed into operation in September 2020, and staged expansions of Talent Management functionality began in October 2020. SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management was configured to visualize human resources and to support the transition of the personnel system for managers to a job type aligned with the ENEOS job grade system, implementing the functions required for operation of the new personnel model. Deployed capabilities emphasized a centralized human resource database and learning management, together with data management features to support optimal placement and utilization of personnel. The implementation was integrated with ENEOS human resources processes governing managers job classification and with HR workflows for mid career hiring and year round hiring, covering the HR organization of ENEOS Co., Ltd. Work was executed in staged rollouts to allow incremental functional expansion, and from April 2021 activities ran in parallel with consideration of a new system planned for April 2022. Governance and operating model changes focused on supporting autonomous career development and enabling strategic personnel measures through consolidated HR data and phased releases. ENEOS signaled intent to further expand Talent Management capabilities in order to drive placement and development decisions as the company evolves its long term personnel policies.

SAP Legacy SAP Ariba Procurement Procurement n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 ENEOS Holdings began an implementation project to deploy SAP Ariba for Procurement across its purchasing organization following corporate integration activity. The initiative was announced by SAP Japan as a cloud procurement and purchasing platform adoption, and the year 2017 is directly associated with the start of the implementation project. The program addressed a need to unify purchasing business processes and flows created by the April 2017 integration of major business units, targeting purchasing efficiency across ENEOS Holdings operations that include approximately 13,000 service stations and a diversified portfolio spanning petroleum refining and sales, coal, gas, electricity, and new energy development. The rollout focused on centralizing purchasing workflows and enabling strategic sourcing activities across business units rather than building a bespoke system from scratch. SAP Ariba was configured to cover a broad set of Procurement functional capabilities, including quotation management, supplier selection and evaluation management, contract management, and structured report management to support executive oversight. The implementation emphasized sourcing driven by strategic data analysis and continuous supplier and contract management, leveraging SAP Ariba as a cloud platform to reflect procurement industry trends and enable ongoing functional evolution. Governance and process transformation centered on visualization of purchasing data, strengthening internal control by controlling data input and flow to help prevent fraud, and enabling discovery of cost reduction opportunities through data sharing and utilization. The program sought to standardize procurement workflows, tighten input controls, and produce management reporting to support centralized purchasing governance across the combined organization. The decision to adopt SAP Ariba was explicitly motivated by the need for an extensible cloud solution that could support quotation, supplier evaluation, contract, and reporting requirements, and to achieve early and continuous synergistic effects from unified Procurement processes across ENEOS Holdings.
