In 2019 England and Wales Cricket Board deployed SAP Concur Invoice as its AP Automation platform to centralize supplier invoice processing and routine accounts payable controls. SAP Concur Invoice was positioned to handle invoice capture, coded approvals, VAT allocations and supplier record maintenance for the ECB finance function.
The implementation emphasized invoice processing workflows and operational controls, including invoice coding checks, VAT allocation review, duplicate invoice detection and structured Finance sign off for payments. The solution supported end user guidance on raising purchase order requests and provided in-system visibility for outstanding invoice approvals and exception handling.
Operational responsibility sat with the Accounts Payable team and the AP Manager, who used SAP Concur Invoice for day to day maintenance tasks such as updating supplier records, chasing approvals, monitoring an Accounts Payable email inbox and answering supplier queries. The deployment further supported month end activities by enabling creditor reconciliations and aged creditor analysis and contributed to ad hoc finance and AP projects while providing first line support to ECB employees submitting invoices.
Governance was organized around AP process stewardship, with the AP Manager overseeing supplier payments setup and processing and AP staff performing transactional checks and end user support.
