In 2014 Ensighten implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to centralize core ERP Financial functions across its finance and accounting organization. The deployment followed a transition from Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise and covered cash management, billing, collections, payroll related accruals, and state tax reporting for a workforce of roughly 200 employees, with collaboration across global finance team members.
The Oracle NetSuite ERP configuration emphasized cash management and electronic payments, with a lead accountant wiring funds between subsidiaries and managing all electronic payments within the system. Revenue recognition work included a detailed schedule for licenses and services, produced from reviewed sales contracts, and structured revenue recognition entries were maintained in Oracle NetSuite ERP to support month end processes and audits.
Integrations and operational coverage included Concur, where the finance team acted as Concur administrator to approve expense reports within policy and to create NetSuite consistent accounts to streamline Concur to NetSuite uploads. The implementation also established regular sales report ingestion to calculate and submit required state taxes, and it incorporated HR maintained employee records to support payroll and payroll related accruals including IRA plan data.
Governance and workflow restructuring accompanied the rollout, with formalized reconciliations supported by documentation to ensure account accuracy for month end close and audit readiness. Billing and collections workflows were coordinated with global team members to standardize customer billing, collections activities, and revenue recognition schedules inside Oracle NetSuite ERP.
The project explicitly facilitated the transition from Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise to Oracle NetSuite ERP and institutionalized operational controls for cash management, Concur expense processing, payroll data synchronization, and state tax reporting within the ERP Financial environment.
