| Kefron | Legacy | Kefron Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2019 | 2019 | In 2019, ESW implemented Kefron Accounts Payable as a targeted AP Automation deployment to integrate invoice processing and supplier lifecycle activities into its finance and procurement landscape. The initiative placed Kefron Accounts Payable at the center of ESWs accounts payable and procure to pay orchestration, aligning AP Automation capabilities with existing Dynamics 365 Finance modules used by the company. The Kefron Accounts Payable implementation was configured to support invoice capture, automated approval workflows, supplier onboarding data capture, and PO matching aligned with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance General Ledger and Accounts Payable structures. Configuration work included mapping AP posting rules into D365 Finance tax and ledger schemas, and setting up multi-entity handling consistent with ESWs global operating footprint that included Netherlands, Australia, USA, and Canada. Integrations were a primary focus, with Kefron Accounts Payable integrated into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance for AP ledger posting and financial reconciliation, and connected into ServiceNow to front-load vendor onboarding data and trigger automated notifications as part of the P2P programme. The implementation also acknowledged existing vendor relationships and toolchains including Navan, and was coordinated alongside integrations with ServiceNow, Salesforce, and other support systems to improve end to end data flow between procurement, AP, and ITSM functions. Governance and rollout were managed through agile delivery practices and Azure DevOps for development tracking, testing and upgrade coordination, while cross-functional workshops and training materials supported change management for Finance, Procurement and Legal stakeholders. The project aligned AP Automation controls with the broader P2P programme and vendor onboarding workflow redesign, formalizing approvals and data capture across Legal, Risk, Procurement, AP and BAE teams. Explicit outcomes tied to the implementation included streamlined vendor registration and automated notifications that reduced vendor onboarding process time and minimized risk, and an overall improvement in data flow and system reliability from connecting Kefron Accounts Payable with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and ServiceNow. Kefron Accounts Payable served as the operational AP Automation layer within ESWs ERP and P2P architecture. | |
