In 2005, FactSet implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX as an ERP Financial application for the Finance Department. Microsoft Dynamics AX was configured to provide core financial management capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset management, and statutory and management reporting. The deployment established a single financial application footprint to support a centralized chart of accounts and period close workflows within FactSet's finance organization.
The implementation followed mid 2000s ERP deployment patterns, provisioned within the corporate IT environment and designed to support consolidated reporting processes. Microsoft Dynamics AX's configuration emphasized role based security, workflow orchestration for approvals, and batch processing for high volume financial transactions. Governance focused on finance led configuration control, standardized month end close procedures, and reconciliation workflows to operationalize financial controls and process discipline.

In 2022, FactSet implemented Workday Absence Management as part of its broader Workday HCM program. The deployment targeted Absence and Leave Management functionality and was coordinated by an interdepartmental HR team with a Lead Workday Specialist role located in Norwalk, CT supporting Learning, Performance, Absence and Time Tracking modules.
Workday Absence Management configuration work included requirements gathering, testing, and the creation and maintenance of absence plans and leave types, along with business process configuration and reporting. The team performed regular data audits and validation, modified and created Workday reports, and maintained configuration for Positions, Hierarchies and Supervisory Orgs to ensure accurate time and absence calculations and approvals.
Integrations and operational tooling cited in the implementation used Workday Cloud Connect and EIB for data exchange and system interfaces, enabling payroll and HR data flows consistent with Absence and Leave Management workflows. The implementation also involved collaboration with Total Rewards and business leaders, and engagement with the Workday Community and Area User groups to track and resolve product issues.
Governance practices for the Workday Absence Management rollout included a structured release cadence aligned to the twice or thrice yearly Workday releases, formal documentation and change management for new functionality, and an ongoing support model to troubleshoot user issues and update procedures across HR and the wider organization.

In 2012, FactSet implemented Microsoft Power BI to support Analytics and BI workflows across its data engineering and research functions. Microsoft Power BI was integrated into an existing visualization stack alongside Tableau Software and D3, providing interactive dashboards and graph visualizations.
Implementation focused on connecting Microsoft Power BI to a pre-connected, structured data lake that underpinned data collection, manipulation, and enrichment efforts oriented towards creating knowledge graphs and pre-connected data assets. Power BI visualizations were used to surface graph relationships and profile views, while Natural Language Generation consumed the structured data lake to produce memos, reports, and entity profiles.
Power BI consumption was combined with geospatial processing through ArcGIS and ArcMap workflows, leveraging ESRI APIs for geocoding and creating layered map visualizations. Data ingestion pipelines included web scraping and crawling implemented with PHP scripts and third-party software Connotate, which fed enriched records into the data lake and subsequently into Analytics and BI dashboards.
Operational scope emphasized analytics, research, and data engineering teams, with governance practices oriented toward curated datasets, visualization standards, and scheduled refresh cycles to maintain pre-connected assets. The implementation stitched Microsoft Power BI, visualization libraries, geocoding services, and NLG outputs into a unified Analytics and BI reporting fabric.
