| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | AXXIS Consulting | 2025 | 2025 | In 2025 Ferrotec Malaysia implemented SAP S/4 HANA using the GROW with SAP cloud ERP offering to establish a unified ERP foundation for its new manufacturing site in Kulim, Malaysia. The deployment is categorized as ERP Financial and was delivered as a cloud-first program to integrate finance, sales, supply chain, procurement, and production workflows across the facility. The implementation was executed in a structured two-phase configuration, with Phase 1 covering Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain and Phase 2 enabling Sales and Production. SAP S/4 HANA was configured to provide real-time visibility, standardized digital workflows, and production-related master data to support precision manufacturing of semiconductor, automotive, and medical device components. AXXIS Consulting led the implementation design and rollout, delivering a two-phase deployment model that emphasized cloud orchestration and end-to-end process alignment. The environment includes MES integrations and ongoing operational enhancements driven by SAP to connect manufacturing execution with core ERP financial and supply chain processes, enabling centralized transaction processing and inventory control at the Kulim site. Governance changes focused on standardizing processes and reducing manual workflows, with operational ownership aligned across finance, procurement, supply chain, production, and IT functions to support consistent data stewardship and execution. The phased rollout approach and packaged GROW with SAP framework provided templated configuration, change control, and go-live sequencing to accelerate adoption while minimizing disruption to plant operations. The implementation delivered explicit operational outcomes as reported by the customer, including a 90 percent increase in procurement efficiency, a 40 percent improvement in finance productivity, a 50 percent reduction in supply chain process costs, and an 80 percent reduction in data accuracy issues. Ferrotec Malaysia is planning immediate extensions to support advanced quality management and production compliance, and is evaluating additional SAP solutions including SAP Business AI, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, and SAP Custom to broaden its ERP Financial and manufacturing platform capabilities. |
