| The Access Group | Legacy | Access People HR System | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, Fuji Seal Europe implemented Access People HR System, Core HR, to centralize HR administration and payroll interfacing across its UK manufacturing operations. The deployment focused on supporting HR administration, payroll automation and time and attendance coordination for the Manufacturing Manager, four Production Managers, and multiple administration and technical departments.
The Access People HR System was configured to support core HR workflows including implementation of pay grades for manufacturing operatives, auto enrolment processing, disciplinary and grievance case management, and the drafting and issuance of a new staff handbook. Functional capabilities implemented included structured restructure workflows where the HR team managed four separate restructures, settlement agreement management, tribunal preparation and attendance, and control and reporting of overtime and wages costs.
Integrations and automation were explicit elements of the implementation, Access People HR System was integrated with Payrite payroll software and automated payroll interfaces were created, and time and attendance data was coordinated with Stanley Protime Time and Attendance/Security Software. The HR function also partnered with the EEF manufacturing organisation for employment law and H and S compliance, and worked alongside an internal H and S Advisor to design training, induction programs and arrange risk assessments where appropriate.
Governance and process restructuring accompanied the technical rollout, with formal consultation on contract changes, strong employee relations involvement advising line managers on process execution, and established procedures for managing redundancies and settlement agreements. HR governance extended to advising and supporting line managers through disciplinary and grievance matters, and embedding new pay grade policies and auto enrolment rules into operating procedures.
Operational outcomes recorded by the program included changes to automated payroll processes managed on Payrite that reduced staffing costs and tighter control and reporting of overtime and wages costs. The combined Access People HR System deployment and integrations strengthened payroll automation, time and attendance coordination, and centralized HR case management for Fuji Seal Europe.
