| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024, GiFi implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as a central component of its long running Millénium program, aligning the deployment to core financial and operational processes. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment sits in the ERP Financial category and was positioned to centralize reference data and support purchasing, supply chain, store operations and financial management across the retailer’s estate of approximately 600 stores and 6,800 employees.
The implementation is structured around a SAP core ERP instance with adjacent best of breed applications integrated into the topology, including Aptos for merchandise lifecycle and PLM functions, Optimix for pricing and logistics decisioning, and Reflex for inventory management. The program explicitly targeted consolidation of roughly 200 business processes, introduced real time data exchange through a service oriented architecture, and layered modern analytics via a Snowflake data lake and Qlik visualization to provide finer grained KPIs.
Operational integration was executed via an enterprise integration platform that orchestrates real time communication between SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and the aggregated solutions, with implementation partners such as Delaware and IBM participating in delivery and systems integration tasks. The rollout covered merchandising, procurement, distribution and point of sale interfaces, and encountered significant integration complexity as multiple best of breed systems were stabilized and tuned to work with the SAP core.
Governance for the Millénium program involved a program team of approximately 150 people and an initial target completion horizon set around 2022, with phased cutovers concluding into 2023 and 2024. The program experienced pronounced operational risk during the switch, including reported loss of visibility over stock, orders and supplies, a material impact on turnover reported in press coverage, and senior leadership turnover in early 2024, which the company acknowledged while indicating the transition phase was concluded.

The rollout plan sequenced assortment planning and PLM adoption to enable consistent assortment decisions during store expansion.
Governance adjustments under the Millennium program codified planning process changes and phased module adoption, embedding assortment planning and PLM into routine merchandising operations. The outcome positioned Aptean Assortment Planning as the consolidated platform for the planning capabilities originally delivered by TXT Retail and Aptos.
