In 2020 Heineken Ireland migrated its core back office to SAP S/4 HANA as an ERP Financial deployment, replacing SAP ERP ECC 6.0. Operational scope covered Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and HR business functions in Heineken Ireland, with integration touch points coordinated with Heineken Global to support centralized data flows. The deployment blended onsite, contract and remote support resources under an internal support model, and vendor management and third party application support contracts were overseen by the digital and technology function.
Governance for the SAP S/4 HANA environment used a Business Relationship Manager model to prioritize enhancements, liaise with global program teams and manage support and delivery across departments. The surrounding application estate included SAP, SQL Server, .Net, VB, PowerApps and PowerBI, which were managed as part of the back office ecosystem and used for operational reporting and application support.
Governance and operational ownership were exercised through a Business Relationship Management model covering Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and HR, with onsite, contract and remote support teams overseen by the Digital & Technology Solutions Manager. Vendor and contract management for third party application support and maintenance were consolidated under the same function to prioritize enhancements and sustainment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
