Governance included progressive issuance policies and supply chain sourcing standards to support HSBC Bank USA’s sustainability targets, including a commitment to reach net zero in operations and supply chain by 2030 or sooner and a broader net zero commitment by 2050 or sooner. The migration to recycled PVC under IDEMIA GREENPAY is reported to reduce CO2 emissions by 161 tonnes per year and save 73 tonnes of plastic annually based on HSBC’s current annual card volume.
