In 2019, IQVIA UK implemented Oracle Cloud ERP. The deployment targeted core finance operations under the ERP Financial category, with Oracle Cloud ERP provisioned to centralize accounting, receivables, payables, intercompany processing and fixed asset accounting across the finance organization.
The implementation focused on Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials configuration, delivering ledger and subledger functionality through General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany Hub, CE and FA modules. Functional configuration work covered transaction posting, subledger accounting flows, intercompany settlement orchestration and fixed asset lifecycle accounting consistent with ERP Financial best practices.
Integrations were executed to exchange transactional and master data from and to Projects, Workday and HFM, enabling end to end financial data flows between project costing, HR and payroll sources and consolidation systems. Integration scope encompassed inbound project charge and resource cost feeds, outbound financial postings to consolidation, and master data synchronisation for chart of accounts and business units.
The program replaced Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as the prior on premise financial system, and governance centered on finance process harmonisation, period close workflow alignment and intercompany policy enforcement. Implementation activities were led through functional configuration and integration tracks, aligning accounting and consolidation workflows across IQVIA UK finance teams.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 IQVIA UK implemented Workday HCM. Workday HCM, implemented as a Core HR application, was provisioned to support HR operations for a global employee population of roughly 2,500 across Germany, France, Netherlands, the Nordics, Poland, the United States, and Canada while the central HR function remained based in London.
The implementation focused on Core HR workflows and functional modules aligned with the organisation's HR practices, including headcount planning, recruitment lifecycle management, performance review administration, benefits and training coordination, and employee relations case tracking. Workday HCM was configured to reflect regional HR processes and to support organizational design activities and workforce changes as advised by HR Business Partners and local managers.
Operational coverage emphasized centralized governance through a global HR advisory role, which served as the first point of contact for Workday HCM queries and provided daily support to managers and employees. The deployment instituted role based access and business process frameworks to route approvals, manage headcount requests, and escalate employee relations matters, enabling HR advisors to analyze turnover, hiring, promotions, and separations trends and advise management on organizational adjustments.
Rollout and ongoing operations integrated Workday HCM into HR advisory workflows, with HR Business Partners and local management using the system to execute recruitment, performance and learning processes. The configuration supported standardized HR case handling and policy guidance across regions, and the global HR advisor function maintained system proficiency and served as the primary operational owner for Workday HCM within IQVIA UK.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, IQVIA UK implemented Microsoft Power BI to establish a centralized Analytics and BI capability for hospital costing and healthcare analytics. The deployment targeted loading and presenting outputs from patient-level cost models and supporting patient-based forecasts across the UK healthcare markets.
Microsoft Power BI was configured to consume SQL-modeled datasets maintained in Microsoft SSMS and Excel, with regular SQL used for data quality analysis and dataset preparation. Dashboards and report visualizations in Microsoft Power BI standardized costing outputs and provided aggregated costing intelligence for cross-functional teams.
The implementation coexisted with a suite of BI tools including Qlik and Tableau, positioning Microsoft Power BI as a principal visualization layer for selected hospital datasets and costing models. Operational coverage included national cost collection windows and support for over 80 clients, with on-site deployments of costing models and advanced training delivered to external stakeholders during rollout.
Governance and operational practices included projects to assess and track the performance and effectiveness of healthcare analytics, and role-level requirements such as extensive SQL modelling and bespoke software to maintain patient-level models. Explicit outcomes reported by IQVIA UK include ensuring client compliance with NHS England costing standards, leading two major implementations, and identifying clinical activity inefficiencies through customized financial models.
