In 2019, iWave implemented Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial system, establishing a single system of record for billing and accounts receivable. The deployment positioned Sage Intacct as the authoritative source of invoice and customer billing data while the finance organization pursued a broader modernization of A/R and customer payments led by the VP Finance & Controller.
Sage Intacct was configured to serve transactional and reporting needs for accounts receivable, with invoice data feeding automated A/R workflows. iWave paired Sage Intacct with an accounts receivable automation platform to pull invoices in real time, enable a branded online payment portal, and run tiered collections cadences and task automation tailored to customer segments. Functional coverage emphasized billing orchestration, collections communications, payment posting, and cash application workflows.
The implementation leveraged explicit integrations to extend Sage Intacct into customer-facing payment operations, using Invoiced’s pre-built real-time connector to synchronize invoices and payment status. iWave also integrated payment routing to a cross-border merchant account to improve credit card acceptance for its US-heavy customer base, added GoCardless for borderless ACH transactions, and ensured billing and payment activity were logged into Salesforce for account team visibility. Operational scope covered finance and accounts receivable teams, account representatives, and client success managers who now receive timely notifications and have centralized access to billing status.
Governance and workflow changes centered on automated communication cadences and role-based task assignments, which shifted routine collection labor into platform-driven processes and freed finance staff to focus on higher-value work. Outcomes called out by iWave include faster payment velocity with a consistent reduction of approximately one week in time to pay, a week of monthly staff time returned through automation, widespread adoption of the branded payment portal, and improved team accountability and visibility. Sage Intacct remained the central ERP Financial ledger throughout the initiative, enabling the integration-driven A/R transformation.

Google Workspace (Formerly Google G-Suite) was configured to include Gmail for enterprise email, Google Calendar for scheduling, Google Drive for centralized cloud storage, Docs and Sheets for coauthoring, and Meet for virtual meetings. Administrative configuration was managed in the Google Admin console, with user provisioning, group and permission models, and device management controls applied to align collaboration workflows with corporate policies.
