The implementation encompassed Oracle Absence Management modules configured alongside Oracle HR, OAB, Employee Self Service ESS, and Manager Self Service MSS, reflecting standard absence plan setup, accrual and entitlement calculation, leave type classification, absence transaction processing, and manager approval workflows. Oracle Absence Management was configured to enforce eligibility rules and business rule-driven approvals consistent with corporate leave policies.
Integration work focused on direct record exchange with core Oracle HR and on user interaction through ESS and MSS, enabling employees to initiate absence requests and managers to approve requests from self-service channels. Operational coverage included HR administration, benefits administration, and manager self-service processes, managed through the Global HRIS function.
Governance and process changes were managed by the Global HRIS analysts, who standardized absence policy mappings, configured workflow routing, and coordinated HR and IT change control for configuration updates. Implementation governance emphasized consistent policy application and system-driven approvals across Jacobs' HR operations.
