In 2020, Jardine Motors Group Plc deployed SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central for Core HR. Jardine engaged EPI-USE to implement SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the group-level Core HR platform to support an innovation-oriented HR function responsible for people strategy across the business.
The implementation covered core modules and end-to-end HR workflows, including Employee Central for master data, integrated Payroll posting, SuccessFactors Recruiting and Onboarding with DocuSign for online signatures to remove paper copies, and SuccessFactors Learning for course administration. The hire to retire process was instrumented for starters and leavers, and SuccessFactors job profiles and templates were configured to streamline recruiting and candidate handover into Employee Central without duplicate data entry.
EPI-USE integrated SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central with Active Directory for identity and access alignment and with an auto-industry ERP and finance system to post payroll results automatically, creating an operational link between payroll calculation and financial posting. Recruiting configuration included streamlined posting of adverts to job sites and LinkedIn, with successful candidates hired directly into Employee Central, reinforcing a single consistent set of HR data for reporting across the estate.
Operational scope included the HR, payroll, talent acquisition and learning functions supporting over 3,000 employees across Jardine Motors Group Plc in the United Kingdom. Governance and process changes centered on standardized job profiles, template-driven recruiting, and electronic signature workflows, and Jardine subsequently onboarded additional acquired dealerships and their employees into the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central system with minimal partner intervention. The program explicitly reduced administrative costs, created efficiencies and delivered a single consistent dataset for reporting.
