In 2004, KPMG UK implemented Oracle OBIEE as part of Phase 2 of its contact management and marketing Siebel program, establishing an Analytics and BI capability for sales and marketing. Phase 2 comprised an upgrade to Siebel 7.7, the switch on of sales and marketing functional modules, and a full installation of Siebel Analytics which was delivered in the context of the Oracle OBIEE deployment.
The technical workstream focused on configuration of reporting and dashboarding components, metadata repository and analytic models typical of an Analytics and BI implementation, aligned to Siebel CRM data structures. The upgrade to Siebel 7.7 enabled the activation of sales and marketing workflows alongside the analytics layer, with Oracle OBIEE / Siebel Analytics providing centralized query and reporting services.
Integrations were centered on Siebel contact management and marketing systems, exposing CRM transaction and campaign data into the Oracle OBIEE analytics layer to support operational reporting for sales and marketing teams. The deployment scope was explicitly the sales and marketing functions within KPMG UK, rolled out as the Phase 2 cutover of the Siebel program.
Governance and rollout were executed as a phased program activity, switching on functional modules and installing the analytics tier to provision reporting access and consolidated dashboards to business users. Configuration and access control work accompanied the installation to align analytics consumption with the newly enabled sales and marketing processes.
