| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Legacy | Amazon EC2 | Application Hosting and Computing Services | IaaS | Kyndryl | 2021 | 2021 | In 2021 Bank of Ayudhya implemented Amazon EC2 as part of a broader Application Hosting and Computing Services strategy to accelerate its cloud-enabled infrastructure and digital banking roadmap. The initiative supported Krungsri’s objective to expand online and mobile banking services and to apply AI for customer service enhancements while operating across its nationwide branch and service outlet footprint. Kyndryl designed and implemented a secure landing zone on AWS that included identity and access management, network integration, data security controls, logging, and a governance framework aligned to Krungsri policies. Amazon EC2 was provisioned within this landing zone using reusable infrastructure patterns and automated orchestration to standardize deployments, with Born on the Cloud tool chains introduced to accelerate application development and provisioning workflows. The deployment established a hybrid architecture that places a strategic set of workloads in AWS datacenters while maintaining on premises assets, and Kyndryl now manages the hybrid environment. Operational capabilities delivered include 24x7 infrastructure and application management, continuous operations monitoring, operating system administration, patching and health checks, and centrally managed cost, asset and utilization tracking. Krungsri instituted a Cloud Center of Excellence and accompanying processes to govern cloud adoption, enable DevOps practices for developers and operations teams, and replicate compliant deployment patterns for future migrations. Governance elements emphasized in the implementation included role based access controls, centralized logging for auditability, and reusable compliance templates to enforce security and network segmentation across the Application Hosting and Computing Services footprint. Explicit outcomes reported include centralized monitoring of infrastructure utilization to optimize hybrid cloud operations, an extended security posture for applications running on cloud, and a deployment model set up to rapidly perform additional migrations to AWS. Kyndryl continues as the long term IT partner providing managed services and advising on cost management and security enhancements for the AWS based Amazon EC2 environment. |
