| SAP | Legacy | SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) | Retail Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, MAS Holdings implemented SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) under its Retail Management program. The engagement included an SAP OTC Lead Consultant from October 2020 to April 2021 operating in a hybrid delivery model in Sri Lanka, and the implementation emphasis was on configuring order to cash processes within SAP AFS for apparel and footwear retail operations.
Workstreams included requirement gathering, solution design, business process design and functional specifications, plus UAT and cutover planning. The implementation configured OTC-related capabilities such as pricing, order management and fulfillment workflows within SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS). For the Methliya new plant cutover the team completed cutover strategy documents and worked with the BODS team to prepare extraction templates and upload files for data migration.
Integrations were explicit, notably the Prym SAP ECOM integration where requirements, solution design, BPD, functional specifications and UAT were used to connect SAP AFS to the ecommerce platform. Automation was addressed through the Silueta RPA project, where requirement gathering and solution design produced an automation approach with exception handling and minimal human intervention. These integration and automation elements tied order capture and fulfillment in SAP AFS to external ecommerce and robotic process layers.
Governance and rollout practices centered on formal BPD signoffs, baselined functional specifications and structured UAT gates to sequence deployment activities. Operational coverage spanned order management, ecommerce operations and plant cutover activities across MAS Holdings sites in Sri Lanka. Coordination with the BODS team established data extraction and upload governance as a core element of the cutover and go live process.
