| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2014 | 2015 |
In 2014, MMI Group implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment targeted MMI Group operations across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and China and supported a midmarket organization of roughly 500 employees, centralizing finance and controlling capabilities under a single ECC instance.
Implementation work focused on SAP FICO functional modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting and enterprise controlling. Activities included FICO configuration, preparation of functional specifications, unit testing and go live support, plus report development using Report Writer and Report Painter and form modification to produce Balance Sheet and P&L reports including Enterprise Controlling outputs.
Integration was validated through end to end testing across SD, MM and PP modules, and the program included a SAP VIM rollout for Thailand and Singapore to standardize vendor invoice management. Specific deployment tasks included extending a Malaysia plant into an existing company code for SAP FICO, interfacing Online CAPEX purchase requisition processes to SAP PR and Internal Order Budgeting for fund commitment and fund return, and participation in SAP FICO and BW migration and disaster recovery data checking.
Governance and operational support covered regional FICO and VIM master data maintenance and a regional helpdesk support model, plus workflow adjustments for cross company document processing such as intercompany asset transfer invoices and intercompany AP and AR balance handling. The implementation also encompassed data cleaning and archiving, shortened fiscal year integration testing with MM and SD, SAP Service Pack 23 upgrade testing, and reassigning correspondence forms for asset sales invoices and AR credit and debit memos.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP BW (Business Warehouse) | Data Warehouse | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, MMI Group implemented SAP BW (Business Warehouse) as its central Data Warehouse platform to consolidate reporting and analytical workloads. The deployment was led by the internal IT Manager and the company development and Basis teams, aligning the SAP BW (Business Warehouse) program with existing application development and infrastructure responsibilities.
The implementation focused on core SAP BW capabilities including data modeling, ETL orchestration, and InfoProvider based reporting, with ABAP development supporting extractor and transformation logic. The development team maintained SAP BW development alongside ABAP and .NET development, embedding SAP BW objects into the broader application portfolio managed by the inhouse development function.
The technical architecture ran on HP hardware with VMware virtualization and used Oracle as the database platform for SAP systems, while parallel .NET applications were hosted against Microsoft SQL Server. Integrations included ABAP based data feeds from SAP application landscapes and data ingestion from .NET/MS SQL systems maintained by the development team, with the SAP Basis and Infrastructure team responsible for system installations and upgrades, notes and patches, and platform level maintenance.
Operational governance was established through the SAP Basis and Infrastructure team which managed SAP security, user maintenance and authorization, hardware and server maintenance, and ongoing SAP system patching. The IT Manager provided mentorship and training to both the development and Basis teams, institutionalizing operational ownership for SAP BW across IT and analytics functions at MMI Group.
