In 2022, Mynaric AG implemented SAP for Aerospace & Defense by deploying SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition in Germany. The project was delivered by NTT DATA Business Solutions on a roughly six month timeline, and the primary objective was to modernize finance, supply chain and production planning to support rapid international growth.
The implementation centered on S/4HANA PCE as the core Aviation ERP instance, with explicit module scope that included SAP GTS and an EWM carve out for warehouse functionality. Configuration work covered standard financials, inventory and warehouse management, and production planning workflows consistent with aviation ERP functional patterns, and master data consolidation and order management were part of the go live scope.
Integration architecture used SAP Cloud Platform Integration as the middleware to connect the S/4HANA PCE instance to the shop floor MES, while SAP GTS was integrated to manage trade compliance and cross border transaction flows. The EWM carve out was orchestrated to maintain synchronous material and warehouse state with the MES, establishing an end to end supply chain and production planning data flow.
Governance and rollout were executed from a Germany hosted private cloud instance, with implementation governance led by NTT DATA Business Solutions and process owners in finance and supply chain. Mynaric AG SAP for Aerospace & Defense Aviation ERP implementation consolidated core transactional systems and redefined workflow ownership for finance, production planning and warehouse operations to enable scalable international operations.
