Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2013 2013
In 2013 Nashville Electric Service implemented Oracle E-Business Suite for ERP Financial to centralize core finance, procurement, inventory and order management functions. The engagement surfaced as application-level work on Oracle E-Business Suite that touched General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Oracle Payables, Purchasing, Procure to pay, Order Management and Oracle Inventory modules, with supporting HR conversion activity for employee records. Technical delivery focused on data conversion, interface and reporting automation. The team developed a conversion program to import vendor and supplier information into Purchasing PO by loading data into staging tables, validating records with PL/SQL APIs and populating vendor base tables, and built SQL*Loader control programs and PL/SQL validation procedures to load GL code combinations into Oracle General Ledger. Developers used the GL Open Interface to import multiple journal entries for accrual and payment workflows and authored PL/SQL packages, procedures and functions to validate journals in staging before importing into application base tables. Integrations and operational plumbing included UNIX Shell scripts to FTP flat files from external servers to the Oracle UNIX server, interfaces to import payable invoices and iExpenses related invoices, and an interface for standard items in Inventory implemented with SQL*Loader scripts and PL/SQL validation. The work covered Order to Cash cycle elements and Procure to Pay workflows, and included development of new forms, customized Oracle Reports and XML/BI Publisher and Discoverer reports across GL, AR, INV and OM to support finance and inventory operations. Governance and process controls were established through creation of custom responsibilities for GL, AR, OM and INV, technical support for Oracle Payables, Oracle Receivables, Purchasing and Inventory, and structured validation procedures and staging controls for conversions and interfaces. Reporting and master data validation routines were instrumented to support ongoing operations across finance, procurement, inventory and HR functions within the Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial deployment.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 Nashville Electric Service implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits to centralize Benefits Administration and support core HR, payroll, and benefits business functions. Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits served as the primary application to consolidate benefits data, person profile records, and global payroll coordination. The implementation included configuration of workforce structures and profile management, and deployment of Learning and Health & Safety modules alongside global payroll functionality. Workflows were configured for approval routing including Delegation of Responsibility and Area of Responsibility, and HR Quick Actions were instrumented using Oracle Fusion workflow. Technical workstreams delivered data conversion from PeopleSoft to Oracle HCM cloud using PS AE processes to convert HR, Payroll, Benefits and Person profile data, and Fast Formulas were developed to load time data from the PeopleSoft application into Fusion HCM. Integrations were developed to external benefits vendors including Prudential, Health Scope, and Ulliance, and to payroll and finance endpoints such as TN Wage feeds, AFLAC, and internal finance systems. Operational and reporting capabilities included development of BI reports across modules and an interface to SailPoint for identity and access considerations, plus automation scripts to schedule jobs and file transfers in the MFT GoAnywhere tool. Configuration expertise extended to elements, balance dimensions and feeds, and Oracle Fusion workflow specialization to support governance, approval routing and operational processing for HR, payroll, and benefits teams.

Hitachi Vantara Legacy Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite Asset Performance Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2007 2008
In 2007 Nashville Electric Service implemented Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite for Asset Performance Management to centralize asset oversight across its utility operations. The deployment targeted the utility business functions of asset management, maintenance planning, and field operations, scaled to a mid sized utility organization with roughly 1000 employees in the United States. The Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite deployment was configured to provide core Asset Performance Management capabilities, including an enterprise asset registry, condition based monitoring workflows, asset health scoring and risk based inspection planning. The implementation included functional modules for lifecycle planning, failure mode and effects analysis oriented workflows, and prioritized work order guidance to align maintenance activities with asset criticality. Operational coverage focused on maintenance and operations groups, supporting inspection scheduling, condition assessments, and capital planning inputs for distribution and substation assets. The implementation emphasized a single source of truth for physical asset records and standardized asset hierarchies to enable consistent health and criticality calculations across teams. Governance changes accompanied the rollout, instituting centralized data stewardship, standardized inspection and work prioritization processes, and phased operational adoption to move field crews and planners onto the system. The narrative reflects an application level reorganization of asset data, workflows, and accountability consistent with Asset Performance Management deployments using Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite.
