In 2014, Nokia implemented SAP Concur Travel as part of its Travel Management deployment. The implementation engaged partner Travellers for rollout and ongoing support, with a structured program for country-level reporting and communications across Nokia business units.
The SAP Concur Travel deployment centered on travel and expense management capabilities together with expense claim support and training. Configuration and operational tasks included homepage maintenance, country communication letters, tool and maintenance support, and classroom and remote training to embed standard travel and expense workflows into corporate processes.
Integrations and reporting were a primary focus, with IDOC monitoring used to link SAP Concur Travel to Nokia financial systems and to feed reconciliations. Reporting workstreams delivered SOX balance sheet reconciliation, KPI sample checking and error log review, and country reports for HR and TAX departments, while ageing and open item support, posting corrections and allocations were performed to maintain transaction accuracy.
Governance and process controls were reinforced through involvement on tax and policy updates and through formal rollout support and operational governance. Ongoing responsibilities included maintenance of reconciliation controls, monitoring of compliance related logs, and structured communication and training to sustain Travel Management operations.
